West Valley 8 Man Tackle Football:
This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of football and
sportsmanship. The emphasis is on player's development since our teams
are capped with a maximum of 16 players. This ensures that each player
gets to play half of every game. NYS is the only league in the country
that runs three seasons of tackle football a year! In addition, NYS
does not incorporate fundraising or charge team assessment fees for
any of our programs!

Looking to coach a team within NYS! Here is a packet to get started, containing league guidelines, as well as, registration discounts!
In Order to Register:
- In person - Must have original birth certificate and child present (for weigh-in purposes)
- Online/Mail - Must attend certification day to show original birth certificate and have child weigh-in
After registering, make sure to attend the player certification, location indicated on the registration form. Player certifications are held on Saturday, September 15!
Don't have a team or coach request.....NO PROBLEM!! Teams are formed by closest public school and zip code. Players registering without a team assignment will be contacted with team information by Wednesday, September 19 for the upcoming Fall tackle football season!

Practice Fields:
Register your team to be added to the practice field priority list! Teams will be contacted for field placement in order of registering! Must have minimum of 8 players to be added to the priority list.

Spring 2012 Game Schedules:
NYS will release a 4-game schedule for our 8-man tackle football program. The second half schedule will be based upon team win/loss records to match-up teams based upon similar competition levels. The NYS 8-man tackle program does not provide a playoff or championship aspect to the program.
